I’m trying to purge my house so I can start my new life. It’s amazing how much stuff there is to jump out and haunt you… Need a mantra, this sounds good!!
I threw out loads of crap from his filing cabinet. All the work stuff. It represented neglect. It was his first love. It was his identity, he believed he was a ghost without his job title. A nothing.
I don’t bring the past up much these days, but life is asking me to confront it, and it is important to clean him out of my life so I can start afresh. I hope this will be the last time I have to confront this, that hopefully in a month I will be free.
